Pull and Turn Box Class

Pull and Turn Box Class

Wow, what a wonderful class we had on Saturday making pull and turn boxes that hold either a Ferrero Roche or a Lindt chocolate.     With a class of 7 people, there was lots of laughter and joking, which just energised me more.  Everyone’s box, although the same design looked different as I had made sure they had different paper to decorate with.

An Amazing Fundraising Event

An Amazing Fundraising Event

On Saturday, 5th May, I held a  Craft-a-noon Fundraising event for my friends daughter, which I am renaming Fun-draising.  We had so much fun, most people stayed all day, creating fantastic cards.  One lady had not done crafting before but her cards blew us all away.               Everyone had access to all my stock, including new products that I got from OnStage in April.  The relaxed and friendly atmosphere meant we were all sharing…

Share What You Love

Share What You Love

May sees the start of the early release for the “Share What You Love” suite.  This suite is just beautiful.  It is celebrating Stampin’ Up’s! 30th Anniversary.  One aspect of a 30th Anniversary is pearls – the designer series paper with this suite has a pearlescent film to it and is stunning, it is double sided as usual and slightly thinker. For the first time, Stampin’ Up! are offering this suite in three different bundles.  They have thought about the…

Half Full!

Half Full!

I love this new stamp set – Half Full.  It is from the wonderful new Holiday Catalogue which goes from 1st September until 31st December.  You can view a copy of the catalogue by clicking HERE.           I’ve had lots of fun trying to make cards that are not traditional Christmas using this stamp set!  It is actually quite easy as several of the saying are not aimed at Christmas. The first card I stamped the…

August’s Monthly Card Class

August’s Monthly Card Class

At August’s Monthly Card Class we used the beautiful Magical Mermaid stamp set and embossed the background to make it look like waves using the “Ruffled” dynamic textured impressions embossing folder.  Dynamic embossing folders and an extra dimension to any creation that you are working on.  I did all my stamping first before putting the card through the embossing fold process, as I found it hard to stamp images after doing the embossing.  To colour the background I have simply…

What to do at a quiet market??

What to do at a quiet market??

Saturday, I attended a fairly new market, which is still growing.  It is at Victoria Park Village in Auckland CBD, the setting is wonderful but unfortunately word hasn’t really got out that the market is on.  I knew the chances of getting lots of sales of my cards was slim so I took some of my craft room with me and sat and made a couple of cards.  I finished two while I was there and started two others which…

June’s Card Class

June’s Card Class

We will be having so much fun at this months card class.  We will be creating three beautiful cards using the marbling technique.  It can be a little messy but the results are amazing and no two cards turn out the same! All you need for the marbling technique is some cheap shaving foam, 3 or 4 Stampin’ Up!® reinkers, palette knive (item no.142808), a shallow container big enough to hold your card (I use a takeaway pot as this…

New Annual Catalogue

New Annual Catalogue

It’s June already, which means only one thing, the new Annual Catalogue is live.  It is full of fabulous new products, including a new memory keeping range from Memories and More.  It is exactly what it says, a wonderful way to keep your treasured memories alive but also works well with card making and much more. My current favorite new product is the textured paste, such a great way to add texture and dimension to scrapbooking projects and cards.  In…

Saturday’s Card Class

Saturday’s Card Class

I had my first Saturday card class, last weekend.  It was wonderful to see 6 ladies come along to make 3 beautiful cards.  Our feature card was a male shaker card using the Nailed It bundle of stamp set and dies, along with the Everyday Jar framelits.  Instead of using sequins for the shaker, I die cut lots of screws and nuts from silver card.  I think it looks really effective. The second card was a diagonal gatefold card.  We…

March’s Card Class Was Amazing

March’s Card Class Was Amazing

I would like to show you the sort of cards that we make at my monthly card classes.  Each month we have a WOW card, at March’s class we made this fabulous magic shutter card.     The card uses the Everyday Hero stamp set (143080) and Urban Underground DSP (142783) along with black, smokey slate and burmuda bay card stock.  I normally find making male cards slightly harder but the Everyday Hero stamp set makes it easy.  Instructions for…

Thank you for visiting Craft With Jill. Please excuse the appearance of my website, I am currently setting this up and doing a lot of learning along the way with the help of my daughter!  The pages you can see are fully operational so feel free to click on them and explore.  This won’t take me too long but I am a complete novice so there may be a few teething problems and for this I apologise.
